North Shore Medical Center has been a proud part of the community since 1953. We have evolved over the years from our humble beginnings providing basic care with 108 beds and 97 employees, to a 337-bed acute care medical center. One thing has remained consistent our commitment to quality and safety is the number one goal of every colleague and physician of our hospital and it is one that we all strive to accomplish each day.
North Shore Medical Center was recently designated as a Comprehensive Stroke Center which allows us to provide a higher level of stroke care for our patients. We offer a wide array of comprehensive services including Neurosciences and Interventional Neurology, Robotic Surgery, Cardiac Cath Lab, the states first JCAHO Accredited Chest Pain Center, Cancer Center with EDGE Radiosurgery technology (the only hospital in Miami-Dade to offer this technology), Comprehensive Breast Institute, and award-winning Maternity care with the areas only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. North Shore is the first certified Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center in Miami.
