Elizabeth "Beth" Ryan for Judge

Beth Condron Ryan was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago where she attended Christ the King elementary school and Mother McAuley High School. Ms. Ryan graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, majoring in Political Science. After clerking for various law firms, Ms. Ryan obtained her J.D. from DePaul University School of Law. While attending night school, she was employed full time by the School of Accountancy at DePaul University. She served as a research assistant to Criminal Law Professor John Decker and externed for the Honorable Judge William Bauer in the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.

After graduation, she served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Judge Martin Agran in the Chancery Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County. During her clerkship, she drafted memorandum opinions pertaining to complex legal issues including class certifications, contract disputes, breach of fiduciary duty, TROs, injunctions, and administrative reviews. Ms. Ryan was then hired as an associate attorney at Newman Boyer & Statham concentrating her practice in the plaintiffs personal injury law. In 2011, Ms. Ryan started her own practice representing victims of sexual assault, auto accidents, biking accidents, dog attacks, nursing home neglect, and slip and fall incidents. In her fifteen years of practice, Ms Ryan has successfully tried multiple cases to verdict in Cook and Lake Counties.

Ms. Ryan is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, Womans Bar Association, and the Illinois State Bar Association. She was named Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2012 and 2013, Nationally Ranked Top 10 under 40 by National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys, 2016 and 2017, Emerging Attorney in 2018 and Top 100 Attorneys in Illinois in 2018.

Ms. Ryan currently resides in Sauganash, with her husband, Clancy Ryan and four daughters. Ms. Ryan currently serves on the School Board of Queen of All Saints School and volunteers her time coaching cheerleading, Girls on the Run Coach and basketball.
