Losing an item on a SMART train or platform is never ideal, but our dedicated Customer Service Center is here to assist you in reuniting with your belongings. To report a lost item, contact our Customer Service Center at 511 or (707) 794-3330 between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays, excluding holidays. Our team will register your lost item into the SMART Lost and Found log, so providing as much detail as possible is crucial. Share information such as the day and time of travel, train number, direction of travel, and a comprehensive description of the lost item.

For those unfortunate instances when you need to reach out after hours, fret not. Leave a detailed message about your lost item, and our dedicated team will ensure to get back to you promptly once our Customer Service Center reopens. If your lost item is found and received at the Customer Service Center, you will be promptly contacted to arrange for its retrieval.

It's essential to note that while we strive to assist in the recovery of lost items, SMART is not responsible for personal property left unattended on platform waiting areas or on the train. To avoid any inconvenience, please refrain from leaving personal items unattended, as unattended items may be subject to disposal. If your property has not been disposed of and retrieval arrangements have been made, it will be securely held for 14 days.
