Project Based Learning

At Ronald C. Wornick Jewish Day School, Project Based Learning (PBL) stands as a cornerstone of our educational approach. From week-long explorations to multi-month endeavors, our PBL units empower students to tackle real-world issues, culminating in the creation of tangible products or presentations for genuine audiences. Fostering critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication, PBL units infuse our classrooms with innovative energy, where students are the driving force behind their learning journey. With projects spanning various disciplines, such as the 2nd-grade Heroes Project, 5th-grade Artist’s Study, and 8th-grade Roller Coaster Design Project, students engage in immersive experiences guided by their inquiries and discoveries, culminating in public presentations that showcase their process and learning to the wider community.
