The Makerspace, also known as the Peleh Lab, at Ronald C. Wornick Jewish Day School, serves as a vibrant center of innovation and creativity for students across all grade levels. In this dynamic environment, students are immersed in hands-on problem-solving activities, fostering the development of essential skills while unleashing their imaginations. Under the guidance of Corine Brouwer, Director of Technology and Innovation, collaboration with lower school teachers ensures that projects align with grade-level standards, enriching students' educational experiences. From mastering coding and robotics in the Lower School to exploring diverse challenges such as woodworking, coding, and 3-D printing in the Middle School, students engage in transformative projects that blend creativity with real-world application. The Peleh Lab not only fosters individual growth but also cultivates a sense of community as students collaborate and compete in the pursuit of innovation.
