Iron County School District

The first school in Iron County was dedicated on December 23, 1851 in Parowan, Utah. Later in 1853, school was also held in Cedar City at the Old Fort. Later in 1856 the first school in Cedar city was built. Iron Kids Iron Kids, operated by Community Cares Iron County, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing high-quality after-school care throughout the academic year, along with an engaging enrichment program during the summer. Our programs are designed to foster intellectual growth, social development, and emotional resilience in elementary-aged children, ensuring they thrive in a safe and supportive environment.
