Simply Dutch Farm is a small American Alpine goat dairy in Waverly Hall, Georgia.
In 2012 we were blessed to acquire this land and started clearing and building a fence to support our growing dairy herd. The farm is based on our simple plain folk living and dairy background founded in North East
Missouri.
Amos Horst, the founding dairy farmer in our family taught us much of the practices and techniques that we use today. It is in his honor and memory that we continue to use the time-honored hard-working methods he taught us to tend to our purebred Alpine herd. Each animal is an integral member of our farm and family and the health and welfare of our goats are of greatest concern.
We are members of the American Dairy Goat Association (ADGA) and use their performance programs to better our herd. We sell our farm products under a pet milk license because we do not pasteurize the milk. You can find us at the Midland, Ga. farmer's market every Saturday.

RiverCenter’s state-of-the-art facilities include the 2,000-seat Bill Heard Theatre, the center’s main venue and home to the Columbus Symphony Orchestra. Featuring orchestra, mezzanine and balcony seating, the hall is designed to meet the complex technical needs of attractions such as Broadway shows, symphonic concerts, dance performances, pop concerts, lectures and conferences. From the ceiling large interwoven ribbons of steel mesh contribute a sense of intimacy, while shaped balcony fascias and custom light fixtures provide color, texture and warmth.
After a year of programming in its two smaller halls, RiverCenter officially opened Bill Heard Theatre in April 2002. Already the theatre has hosted a variety of world-renowned performers, including classical artists such as Yo-Yo Ma, Itzhak Perlman and Jessie Norman; popular entertainers such as Bill Cosby, David Copperfield and Wynonna; international ensembles such as the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, Moscow Boys Choir and Cirque Éloize; and national touring productions such as the Broadway shows Chicago, Miss Saigon and Cats.
The center’s second-largest performance space, Legacy Hall, has 430 seats and an elegant ambiance that includes orchestra and parterre levels and a balcony that wraps entirely around the stage. Walls are covered in a textured clay tile, and the balcony and parterre fascias are covered in rich cherry wood. From the ceiling, a series of light, colored wood acoustical reflectors support striking copper chandeliers. Known for its perfect acoustics and impressive Jordan Concert Organ, the hall is a popular venue with many noted musicians. Already, the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet, violinist Robert McDuffie, organist Olivier Latry and others have sung the hall’s praises after performing on its stage.
Legacy Hall and the facility’s 150-seat, black-box Studio Theater also provide rehearsal and performance space for the Columbus State University Schwob School of Music. The music school’s classrooms, studios, rehearsal rooms and practice rooms are also located at RiverCenter.
RiverCenter fulfills its mission of partnering with local performing organizations by serving as the home of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra and the Columbus Ballet. It addresses its outreach mission through its ArtReach program, offering area youth of all socio-economic levels unprecedented opportunities to experience and participate in the arts. Operating as a non-profit organization, the center also supplies theatrical, volunteer, security and maintenance services for its home organizations.
Fulfilling its mission of providing quality entertainment and promoting the artistic enrichment of the Columbus area, RiverCenter for the Performing Arts has become much more than a great performing arts center. It has become a key player in the preservation of the social, economic, and civic vitality of the region.

Hello, my name is Heather Peebles. I am the excited and proud owner of Tiger Lillies Floral. I am now officially a small business owner! I have always loved flowers as long as I can remember. I was born and raised in Orlando, Florida. I have been a floral designer for over 14 years. I attended West Side Tech in Orlando Florida, where I began learning so much about the floral industry as a whole. I began with Plant Botany, Post-Harvest Handling, Mechanics of Floral Design, Principles of Floral Design, and Design Styles. I have experience using a variety of florals including fresh, silk, artificial, and dried. I was also educated on the day to day shop operations, including sales transactions and marketing. I received my Floral Certification in the spring of 2005. After school, I immediately took my passion and began an internship with the floral department of the Ritz Carlton, Grand Lakes Resort in Orlando.
At the Ritz Carlton. I cared for and designed weekly hotel lobby, porte-cochere, restaurant, spa, and guest arrangements. I was often involved in floral designing for special events, rehearsal dinners, corporate events, and high-end private occasions. Pursuing my dreams, that internship ended up becoming a full-time position with the Ritz Carlton Orlando.
Ok back to my floral journey… and why I decided to open a floral studio and now full-service flower shop. Since moving back in 2016, I worked with the talented Mrs. Kim Nelson and her great team at Bloomwoods.I designed everyday orders, weddings and large events with the Bloomwoods shop.

It's Just the Beginning
The 1950's brought war and a Civil Rights struggle across the United States. Soldiers fought in the Korean War overseas, and African Americans across the country were fighting for equality. Throughout Columbus, Georgia, similar struggles could be found. The need for some form of financial support for employees at Fort Benning during such a time of uncertainty became apparent, and in 1956 The Infantry Center Federal Credit Union was founded for such a purpose.
The original charter included only civilian employees on Fort Benning. During the first several years of the credit union's operation, the employee handbook for Fort Benning employees was used to educate those eligible for membership in the credit union.
Dedication and Growth
The 60's were the age of youth, as 70 million children from the post war baby boom became teenagers and young adults. Civil Rights struggles continued throughout the country and the assassination of John F. Kennedy left the nation in shock. The continuous need for stability remained.
The 60's continued to provide obstacles for everyone in the U.S. but the credit union continued to persevere through all obstacles and in May 1964, the credit union reached $1 million in assets.
Change is Inevitable
The chaotic events of the 60's seemed destined to continue in the 70's. With the political scandal and controversial court decisions being made in the U.S., the country's economy once again fell into recession. Despite the struggling financial condition all around, the credit union was able to surpass the $10 million asset mark in 1974, while also adding new facilities and services.
