As a four-year, public university with an enrollment of 1,800 students (approximately 1,100 on campus and 700 online), UMC proudly carries on a tradition of a century of educational service to Northwestern Minnesota. AQIP - Academic Quality Improvement Program
This program utilizes a continuous improvement process and provides an alternative process through which an already-accredited institution can maintain its accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission. With AQIP, an institution has continuous quality improvement activities and accreditation becomes a continuous process.

Children have a natural sense of wonder. Parents can enhance that sense of wonder by teaching the child scientific processes such as experimentation, observation, classification, measurement and hypothesis. At a young age encourage exploration and investigation. Ask questions to teach your child how to describe what they see, hear, feel, taste and smell. Exposing your child to scientific processes and coaching them on descriptive communication will become more complex as they mature.
