At an early age, I knew what it meant to be financially secure. I spent Idahoan summers with my affluent grandparents at their lake home. They taught me being rich is more than just having money. They were thoughtful, kind, and generous. That's what I wanted to be when I grew up.
Let's fast forward a bit. I'd like to think I picked up some of my grandparents' amazing qualities, but my financial situation differed. In my twenties, I made some decisions that would impact me for years to come. I was within two classes of graduating from college - then life happened. I fell in love, got married, and started a family. No regrets. But education was put on hold.
