Welcome To

The Elegant Farmer

The Elegant Farmer – a storefront, pavilion, and wine and beer garden – will feature a variety of delicious Charcuterie boards, home style barbecue food, made-to-order food boxes, outdoor pizza oven, homemade breakfast items, live music, events and more.

“This has been a dream of mine for many years,” said Lynn, as she gleamed with excitement in anticipation of sharing her and her cousin’s new business details. “This family business is a labor of love and everything we’ve done has been accomplished successfully through what we like to call Cousin Power.”

Lynn was referring to her very large family, all utilizing their different skills and talents to bring this business to life. Some are helping with the construction, others with the food, some with the landscape, and all with the love for Lynn and Joe.

The Elegant Farmer storefront will feature a weekly subscription pick up for Barn Swallow flower orders, Maui Jim sunglasses, Unique Stone, home and garden decor items, candles, and much more. The garden will invite you to sit at a full 12-foot farm table made out of the original wood from the building.

“Unfortunately, we had to tear down and rebuild the original building,” said Lynn. “However, we were able to salvage some of the original wood, and you’ll see it peppered throughout the new design as well as in the raised garden beds and our custom-made signage.” The stunning French doors will open to an enchanting outdoor pavilion where guests can enjoy a good book while sipping on a glass of wine, or munch on a Charcuterie board while delighting in conversation with friends and family.

“We will also host events such as art classes and wedding fairs,” said Lynn. “In fact, we’ll be hosting a wedding fair on August 6th.” If you’re interested in participating as a vendor, please reach out to Lynn Wimer using her contact information at the bottom of this article.

Lynn grew up in Pleasant Hill and worked in Danville at an optometrist office for 16 years. Then she did outside optical sales for 16 years and as a hobby did flowers for events. Her husband, Brian Wimer is a contractor with Blue Bear Construction, and they bought a house in Lake Almanor Country Club ten years ago. Together, with their two daughters and son-in-laws, they continue to fall in love with Lake Almanor and all it offers.

While sipping on his hot coffee, Joe recalls a memory when he was a young boy.

“My mother asked if I wanted to hold my newborn cousin,” he shared. “I was holding this tiny, little baby, and it was Lynn. We grew up in a big family – always close and always doing things together. I love watching Lynn inside the shop unpacking deliveries for the new business. She’s like a kid in a candy shop.”

Joe grew up in Meadow Lakes and lived in Fresno for most of his life with his late wife, Debi, and two children. He worked in their family business Laci Le Beau Tea for 30 years, then worked in mechanics and construction for 15 years, and has been retired for the last eight years. He thoroughly enjoys the time he gets to spend with his two children and their families.

Lynn raved about Joe’s amazing cooking and how he will be handling all of the wonderful food coming out of the “Garden Shed.”

“Cooking is something I’ve always loved to do,” Joe shared. “It’s my way of showing others how much I appreciate them. When I’m in the kitchen, I’m in the zone – my own world. I’ve never been one to take a hobby and make a living out of it, but this is different. This is a family affair and I want to do everything I possibly can to make others feel like they are part of our family at The Elegant Farmer.”

Set to have a Grand Opening May 24th, just in time for Memorial Day weekend, Lynn and Joe are sharing updates along the way through The Elegant Farmer social media pages.
