Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is an exfoliative procedure that safely and gently removes the outermost layer of skin (epidermis) and the fine vellus hair (peach fuzz). This instantly gives a smoother feel to the skin and allows skincare products and treatments to penetrate deeper, enhancing their efficacy.

This can be a great add-on to Microneedling.

Dermaplaning is a quick procedure with few to no adverse effects. Using a special medical scalpel and a very delicate touch, the medical esthetician employs light feathering strokes to abrade the surface of the skin while eliminating the fine hair. Patients are often concerned that fine facial hair will grow back heavier and darker after dermaplaning, but this is not true and is merely an old wives tale! The hair will grow back at the same rate and texture as before the treatment.
