Trico Electric Cooperative, Inc. operates per its Rules, Regulations, and Line Extension Policies (RRLEP), as authorized by the Arizona Corporation Commission, to provide electric service and extend its electric lines. Effective on March 1, 2017, the current RRLEP governs all line extension activities, superseding any prior versions. Key provisions of the RRLEP include allowances tailored to different applicant categories. Permanent Residential Applicants may receive up to $1,500 per line extension for each new residence, along with additional costs for special equipment. Large Non-Residential and Industrial Applicants under GS3 and GS4 rate classes do not qualify for line extension allowances. However, other non-residential rate classes are eligible for allowances calculated based on Trico's cost of service data. Moreover, duly recorded subdivision developments are entitled to allowances covering the installation costs of transformers within the subdivision. For further details, including an illustrative example of subdivision-related costs and allowances, please refer to the RRLEP guidelines.
