Shell ULSD ISBL Mechanical
Graham provided construction services for the Shell ULSD (Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel) project at Fort Saskatchewan, AB. The project included the underground and foundation package, followed by the module and equipment setting package, and finally the main mechanical package. The project was completed with zero lost-time accidents
The foundation package included 2,800 cubic meters of concrete. 400 tons of steel made up the structural scope. The equipment set consisted of two compressors, 19 pumps, six modules, seven coolers, and four large dressed vessels including an 80-ton reactor. The piping work installed 2,400 spools for a total length of 11,000 feet tested in 400 pressure packages. A direct labor force of 365,000 peaking at 200 workers was used to complete this project on schedule.
