ARPA & CARES Act
In collaboration with the Plumas County Planning Department and Sierra Small Business Development Center, IVIH provided marketing and advertising assistance and outreach to businesses throughout Plumas County for 7 workshops on how to apply for American Rescue Plan Act and Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act funding through the Plumas County Community Grants Program. This valuable new program offers economic recovery funding in the amount of $949,000 to Plumas County business owners. With the addition of ChicoSTART as a partner, Plumas County business owners can access OpenGrants.io. OpenGrants is a grant search engine that includes a marketplace of independent grant consultants. Business owners and nonprofit leaders can find grants on their own, or hire an expert to help them search, apply for, and manage grants.
Business Funder's Roundtable
IVIH Committee Members Kest Porter and Clint Koble are working to establish the Business Funder’s Roundtable (BFRT). The purpose of the BFRT, is to award grants to re-establish and establish businesses within the Plumas County Dixie fire burn scar, to promote their successes, and to help the affected communities thrive. IVIH is proud to have made the first $5,000 donation to the BFRT.
