Welcome to the College of Marin Child Development Program, where we are dedicated to providing high-quality early education for preschool-aged children. With centers located on the Kentfield and Indian Valley campuses, our programs offer an enriching preschool environment during the fall and spring semesters.
More than just a childcare service, our Child Development Programs serve as dynamic demonstration classrooms. Annually, they provide invaluable opportunities for child observation, research, and practicum experiences, as well as student-teacher training and Work Study jobs for over 500 College of Marin students. Our programs cater to those enrolled in courses related to Early Childhood Education, Pediatric Nursing, Child Psychology/Human Development, Behavioral Science, and other relevant fields.
At the heart of our mission are several goals, including providing a high-quality early education experience, creating a safe and respectful environment for children, fostering a rich learning atmosphere that encourages curiosity and skill development, supporting families in achieving vocational goals, and serving as a model program for college students to learn effective teaching strategies.
Our philosophy revolves around commitment to excellence, with a team of highly skilled professionals attuned to the developmental needs of young children. The curriculum is designed to support children's inquiry and provide diverse experiences across language, social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. We believe that all children can reach their maximum potential when given time and support to explore themselves and the world around them. Join us at the College of Marin Child Development Program, where we nurture curiosity, foster growth, and create a foundation for lifelong learning.
