In 2021, our Stable Home initiative provided critical financial assistance to over 182 households, offering eviction prevention and move-in support to residents in King County, encompassing areas such as Kirkland, Bellevue, Redmond, and more. An impressive 97% of recipients remained in their homes 3-6 months after receiving support, underscoring the program's effectiveness in averting homelessness. With an average cost of less than $1,468 per household, Stable Home not only spares families from the trauma of homelessness but also demonstrates a remarkable return on social investment. To qualify, applicants must meet specific criteria, including residing in permanent housing, experiencing an unexpected crisis impacting rent payment within the last 60 days, having a resolution to the crisis, and earning 80% or less of the Area Median Income for King County. If eligible, individuals can apply for assistance by calling the Stable Home line during office hours or by utilizing the online application form. Attain Housing is committed to non-discrimination, complying with both federal and state civil rights laws to ensure equal access and opportunities for all.
