The Cultural & Community Center by One Step A La Vez, situated in the heart of Fillmore, California, serves as a vibrant hub that celebrates arts, culture, and community. Committed to our mission of supporting teens in the Santa Clara River Valley, we recognize the integral role of the entire community in fostering their growth and well-being. Through a holistic approach, we offer classes and support groups tailored not only to youth but also to parents and community members, with a particular emphasis on providing resources and information in Spanish. Through strategic community partnerships, our center serves as a catalyst for empowerment and connection, offering free childcare and hosting a diverse array of programs and classes, from Apoyo Para Sobrevivientes, a Spanish-speaking support group for survivors of domestic violence, to Estrés Y Bienestar, a wellness class focusing on stress management tools. Additionally, we empower youth by facilitating dialogue between elected officials and community members, fostering civic engagement and amplifying the voices of our young leaders. At the Cultural & Community Center, we are dedicated to building a more inclusive and supportive community where everyone can thrive.
