Outdoor School

With over 40 years of history in environmental education, Camp Magruder offers an enriching learning environment amidst its 160 acres of diverse ecosystems. From forests to oceans, freshwater lakes to marshes and tide pools, our site provides a rich backdrop for experiential education. We proudly collaborate with the Northwest Regional Education Service District (NWRESD) Outdoor Science School program, hosting fall and spring sessions that supplement school curricula with hands-on learning experiences.

Aligned with Oregon's Education Act for the 21st Century, our curriculum caters to 5th and 8th-grade standards in various subjects, including Science, Math, English, Social Science, Health Education, Physical Education, and the arts. Additionally, individual schools have the opportunity to organize their own outdoor school programs at Camp Magruder. With facilities capable of accommodating up to 275 teachers, students, counselors, and staff, Camp Magruder is the ideal site for outdoor education.
