At Visitation Catholic School in Forest Grove, Oregon, the Student Council plays a vital role in serving the entire school community. Serving as a liaison between students and administration, the Student Council fosters communication and participation to reinforce school spirit. Through democratic processes, students in grades 4 through 8 have the opportunity to elect their Student Council leadership each September. To ensure a broad spectrum of involvement, leadership positions rotate trimesterly, allowing as many students as possible to experience leadership roles. The Student Council consists of positions including President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Communications Officer, as well as representatives from the fifth and fourth grades.
