Colusa County Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA), overseen by the Colusa County Office of Education, is dedicated to providing comprehensive program services in Colusa County for students aged birth through 21 who qualify as handicapped according to federal or state standards. Our services are delivered in a variety of settings, including homes, education-based centers, and school sites. From evaluation and identification of special needs to specialized classroom instruction and support services such as speech therapy and health screenings, SELPA ensures a holistic approach to meeting the unique needs of each student. Transition services, job placement assistance, and in-service training for staff and parents further underscore our commitment to supporting students in their educational journey.
