Steps Forward Day is LCRA's annual initiative dedicated to community service and collaboration with customers. On this day, LCRA employees volunteer their time to complete various projects that enhance local communities. Activities include park clean-ups, playground improvements, painting community buildings and athletic equipment, and landscaping enhancements with new plants and mulch. Since its inception, LCRA has engaged hundreds of employees in over 245 community projects across regions from the Hill Country to the Texas Gulf Coast. Steps Forward Day 2024 took place on April 12, involving numerous communities such as Austin, Brady, Brenham, San Marcos, and more.
