Founded in December 2021 by Marcel and Alicia Bowens, The Jaybird Learning Academy emerged from a deeply personal journey. As parents of children with special needs, Marcel and Alicia experienced firsthand the challenges of navigating a system that often lacked sufficient resources and opportunities for their children's development. Witnessing the lack of accessible services and the lengthy waitlists faced by many families, they recognized the urgent need for a comprehensive support network for individuals with special needs as they transitioned into adulthood.
