Position

The Tasting Room Team Member provides an educational wine experience for guests in our elegant tasting room. Da Silva Vineyards & Winery, a family run operation, is devoted to crafting wines that directly reflect the individuality of our family growers and vineyards.  Whether it is refined and structured reds or crisp refreshing whites, our winemaking process is focused on guiding our grapes from harvest to bottle with unwavering attention to detail.  We use an old-world approach to winemaking, where the vineyards shape the wine and aging process.

The Tasting Room Team Member is focused on creating a unique and elevated guest experience.

Responsibilities:

• be a Da Silva ambassador for all visitors, guests and wine collective members;
• welcome and interact with guests and team members in a warm, friendly and professional manner;
• provide exceptional wine tasting experiences;
• oversee wine product sales;
• promote new wine releases; upcoming events and promotions; and Wine Collective Memberships;
• maintain merchandising, organization and cleanliness on the retail floor and behind the tasting bar; and
• meet daily, weekly and monthly sales goals.

Must haves:

• B.C. Serving it Right Certification;
• 19+ years old (alcohol service);
• ability to lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds; and

Previous wine education is an asset (WSET, BC Wine Ambassador, etc.).

Job Types:

Seasonal - Full-time/Part-time

Salary:

$20.00 per hour, plus gratuities & Wine Collective commissions

Schedule:

Day shift and weekend availability a must

Hours approximately 10 to 30 per week
