Water Superintendent

Job Description

The Town of Topeka is seeking a hard-working, self-motivated individual to join our team as a full-time employee, primarily assisting in a wide variety of seasonal maintenance of town streets and alleys. The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic, be motivated to serve others and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.


Essential Duties/Skills/Responsibilities/Qualifications

  • Experience relating to water treatment, laboratory testing, pump operations, chemical feed systems, SCADA operations, on-line instrumentation, basic maintenance.
  • Must have a good understanding of plumbing systems
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pass a drug screening
  • Must possess a minimum of a WT-3, DS-S Water Operator License, License issued by IDEM or be able to obtain within 3 years of starting
