About Oakes Brothers Marketplace
Oakes Brothers Main Street Marketplace was built in 1905 and is centrally located in the Steunenberg Historic District in downtown Caldwell, Idaho. With a unique atrium-style interior, the Marketplace showcases three levels of retail shopping, salon services, and office/workspaces. We are currently in the process of refreshing the interior and exterior of the building, with other exciting renovations planned to begin in 2021. Our mission is to become a premier small business, locally sourced shopping destination for our urban and rural friends who are searching for unique, locally sourced art, food and beverage, apparel, furniture, and home goods. We believe that shopping is best when its a personal experience -- seeing things up close and personal, meeting the shop owners, and learning how their products are made or procured. This creates a one-of-a-kind shopping experience which only small businesses can offer. We strive to offer a beautiful space for our visitors to enjoy shopping and too long for a return visit knowing they will find something wonderful. We also seek to empower independent entrepreneurs to chase their dreams by providing smaller spaces located along with the vibrant Indian Creek community where their creativity and passions are supported.
